Frequently Asked Questions

 Q.  Do you have parking for those who are  disabled?
A. Yes, we have a large parking lot in back of the church which includes parking for the disabled.

Q. What am I expected to wear for Sunday worship?
A.  Some wear suits/dresses, others may wear dress /casuals and yet others wear jeans and a T-shirt.  The bottom line is that we care about you, not your clothes!

Q.  When I visit, what would happen if I sat in somebody's seat by accident?
A.  That's not a problem because there are no reserved seats.  We are so glad you are here and people are free to sit anywhere.

Q. I have young children.  Will they be disruptive in the worship service?
A. We provide infant and toddler care during the 9:00 Sunday School hour and also the 9:50 worship service.  Elementary age children have their own junior church program called KFC beginning in September and running during the school year.  If you should choose to keep your children with you, that's okay.  The sounds of children are reminders that our church is growing.  There are many young families in our congregation.

Q. How does the pastor like to be addressed?
A.  You may call our pastor Dennis, Pastor Dennis, Pastor D., Rev. Zimmerman, or any other variation of these that feels comfortable to you.

Q.  What Sunday School class could I and my children attend?
A.  We have Sunday School classes for all ages from 9:00 am to 9:50 am.

Q.  How accessible is the church for the disabled?
A.  When the church was remodeled and an addition was added, detail was given for those who have disabilities.  The church sanctuary is accessible from the back of the church.  The aisles are wide. and there are numerous locations for wheelchair seating.  All classrooms, restrooms, fellowship hall etc. are ADA compliant.  The downstairs is accessible from the outside ramp at the side of  the building.

Q.  As a visitor, what am I permitted to do?
A.  The ministry and programs of the church are always open  to all regardless of membership or affiliation.  Even when we celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion,( we serve grape juice in place of wine) it is an open communion available to all who are in loving relationship with Jesus Christ.  Please feel welcome to participate and receive.  Most leadership opportunities, however, are reserved for full members of the church, but you can serve in any other capacity.  After attending, if you feel called to this church home, you may contact Pastor Dennis about membership classes.
